MLK Day Read-a-thon 2006

The Dean of Students Office and the Office of Government and Community Affairs are sponsoring the first ever 24 hour Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. read-a-thon from 12:00 noon Wednesday, January 18th to 12:00 noon Thursday, January 19th. Readings will focus on the writings of civil rights leaders throughout history and around the world. Readers will each read for 5 minutes but can do more. The read-a-thon will take place in a heated tent by the flagpoles on Gullen Mall. Those participating from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. will receive a special warm gift (Sweatshirt). We welcome you to sign up by yourself, with a group of friends, as a residence hall floor, and/or as a student organization.
